DIY Information, Advice & News For All

If you are like me, you will never be able to find the right tool for the job you are currently doing. Even if you are well organised, when that tap leaks, your tap spanner will not be where you stored it away safely and you will end up on your back under the sink with water pouring over your head.
It is equally frustrating when you are looking for a wood screw or nail. You may have found three of the same type for the job you are doing but need four. What is then involved is usually something along the lines of emptying all your screws and nails on the floor and sorting through them until you find another. Whilst this is not only time consuming it is also very annoying.
If you buy screws or nails from your DIY store they usually come in packs of ten or twenty. You can also get large boxes containing different types so you always have the right screw at the ready. Some larger DIY stores also have vending machines containing different types of screws, and you can choose a few different types that can be vended all at once. This is a great idea if you only want a few or if you are in a rush. It also means that you will have loads at the ready for all your DIY jobs so you won’t have to rummage around at the bottom of your toolbox.

Ever fancied building your own furniture, not for jokes-for real. The hierarchy of wood status for me has to be oak. The English oak has to be the best-so if I were to suggest building your own furniture then my recommendation has to be an oak dining table for the reasons of wood social stature.
The tasks which need to be completed are quite simple-wood is good, warm, clean and nature intended us to chop it down and eat from its surface. They wouldn’t be there otherwise, lest we forget about them providing the air we breath for now. To create an oak dining table one must acquire;
Once the afore mentioned have been well acquired then you commence by diving into the tree with the chainsaw, felling the tree like the pro that you are, with the determination in mind you’ll be fine
Once the wood has been processed, either by yourself or a wood cutting company, your oak dining table can begin to take shape.
Cut out four posts to the desired height of your table, I would go for futon so people won’t notice your shoddy wood work, nail them to the base of your processed oak and presto, you’re there.
